The Niborex E6-B Palm OS & Pocket PC program provides all common aviation functions.
Features Include: Provides graphical holding and landing patterns, wind components, leg directions, pressure/density altitude, standard atmosphere, cloud base, true/calibrated airspeed (TAS/CAS), Mach, fuel required, fuel rate, endurance, leg time, ETA, distance flown, ground speed, unknown wind, wind components, up/down/lap timers, and W&B. Provides 18 conversions including: nautical/statute miles, kilometers, gallons, liters, decimal hours, h:m:s, feet, meters, Fahrenheit, Celsius, millibars, inches, pounds, kilograms, and more.

Review
Pros: Super pop-up keypad with converter, large buttons (no stylus needed), timer continues to count even with device powered off, graphical pattern tool.
Cons: Lacks hardware button assignments, no way to disable splash screen. Timer will not continue to count if you exit the program, no Zulu (UTC) time conversion, no wind indicator arrow on runway wind calculations. No graphical W&B envelope.
Platform: None - Palm OS and Pocket PC versions have same features.
Notes: ** Reviewed on a Toshiba e335 and Palm IIIc device **, Demo expires after 14 days of use, this program replaces the King E6-B, existing users of the King E6-B can receive free updates.

| "I had used the Palm version (originally purchased from King Schools) for years and love the ease of use. The large buttons allow operation without a stylus which is particularly useful in the cockpit.
I just upgraded to the PPC version to run on a Dell Axim X51V that came with Anywhere WX and still love it. I highly recomend this application. {version 1.3.4.0}" |
