This iPhone/iPod Touch program provides a complete airport services directory for 300+ international airports, flight tracking, travel information, and much more.
Features Include: This travel application provides airport, airline and travel information in a single program, with the added benefit of flight tracking. The flight tracking module allows tracking by flight number, route, or airport. Flight tracking results provide travel time, aircraft type, gate information as well as flight number, airline and departure/arrival times. Airline information includes direct-dial phone number, webpage, 2-character airline code, and route map if known. The traveler information screen provides useful travel information such as: checked baggage information, customs, frequent flyer programs, traveling with pets, visa and immunization information and more. The real gem of this application comes from its airport guide. Once you locate an airport you can view detailed information such as airlines, bars/foods/shops (if known), business services (including if internet is available), contact information (including phone and website), terminal maps, ground transportation (including fees), and layover ideas; there is even a handy button to allow you to report errors or update the guide.
What's New: 1.3 - added additional terminal maps, and ability to download program over 3G.

Review
Pros: Keep track of trips, detailed flight tracking information, bookmark favorite pages by clicking on + at the top of a page. Program works in stand-alone mode (except for flight tracking). Layover ideas are really useful when traveling to a new city.
Cons: No ICAO code for airports, no option to delete saved pages, no small (GA) airports listed in database.

| "Its not perfect, but for any true frequent flyer this is an invaluable app. Most airport data you need with great maps and gate info. Flight status and tracking included in the Pro version, which is worth the few extra dollars.

| "This program is a great resource for anyone who travels via air. I really like the layover ideas and flight tracking. I did have a few issues with the program unexpectedly closing during flight tracking and while viewing terminal maps, but overall the program worked as designed. The amount of information in the airport page such as services, airport history, ground transportation makes this program a must have. {version 1.0}" |
