This Windows based flight tracking application provides flight route information, airport information, TFRs and much more.
Features Include: This graphical flight tracking program provides detailed aircraft position, heading, speed, altitude, type, time, and route information. Track flights in Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands; Canada; New Zealand; and parts of the Atlantic and Pacific. Aircraft icons change based on type of aircraft (such as helicopter, jet, small aircraft, etc). The powerful filter engine allows custom filters that can dynamically change the look and content that is displayed. The ability to create custom views allows you the ability to quickly recall saved filters and overlays. When you install the program it comes with some bundled views to get you started, including ones that show American Airlines flights, FAA Delays, TFRs and more. From inside the program you can also connect to the AOPA airport directory and DUATS for additional information.

Review
Pros: Wildcard filtering (such as B73*) is really useful, detailed pop-up information about aircraft and airports, get arrival and departure times for flights.
Cons: Would be nice if application showed estimated time until touchdown, no usage counter for tracking time online, can be slightly expensive for the casual user if you exceed the 10 included hours.
Notes: ** Reviewed on Windows XP **, Demo provides basic features with static data (no live tracking), subscribe to use all features and actual live data. AOPA members can save on subscriptions.

| "Great program, very useful in tracking flights into or out of an airport. I like the ability to color code flights based on GA vs commercial. The overlay of TFRs and airport delays is also useful when flight-planning. I do wish there was a flight planner built-in so I could plan a flight or at least see a flight route or weather overlay-ed on the map. Overall this is a fantastic program and could be useful to flight departments, FBOs, pilots and enthusiasts. {version 5.0b}" | |
