Tech Tip - Keeping up with Technology using our new Events and RSS pages ...
=================================================================
Events and Expos
As more and more aviation technology companies are showing their products at trade shows and other events, we will be highlighting them for easy reference. By using our (new) Events and Expos page you can prepare before the show. We will be keeping these pages updated as new exhibits and companies are added.
To make it easier for you to manage you can view, print or save the schedule to your PDA (with the help of iSilo). So before you go to the next Expo make sure you have the most current version of the guide.
RSS
Since we are all so busy, it is hard to visit our favorite sites everyday. With the help of a powerful technology known as RSS (Really Simple Syndication) you can keep up with virtually limitless web pages all inside of a single interface. RSS is based on XML (coding language). You might have seen various sites that have a RSS or XML icon, this button usually points to their feed (see main PalmFLYING.com page for example). In order to use RSS you must have a RSS client (known as an aggregator) that will take multiple feeds and display them inside of a single interface. RSS by default only shows a subset of information, if you are wanting to see more then click on the item and it will load the full article or page.
PalmFLYING.com has two RSS feeds, one for forum messages & one for Aviation Technology News (see links below). To get started all you need to do is download (and install) a RSS client and add the feeds you're interested in to the program.
