News: The Intelligent Digital Compass
Posted by Matthew Justice on Jan 10, 2008All sorts of cool stuff seem to surface at CES (Consumer Electronics Show). I came across this one and think it is really cool. I am not sure how it could really be used in aviation, but maybe for other things.
The product is called The Intelligent Digital Compass it works with GPS, compact, GPS-based, personal guidance system used for returning to an exact location. This hi-tech, rechargeable, reverse navigation instrument is lightweight, low-cost, accurate, and the size of a key fob.
- IDC remembers your last location and will guide you back.
- IDC is a GPS activated system. It can locate 6 to 8 satellites in 60 seconds or less.
- IDC has a range of 10 feet to 100 miles.
I am not sure about pricing or when this product will be available for purchase.
