News: What's Up With Southwest, Why Can't They Stay On The Runway?

Ok, without even looking back and researching, I can think of 3 incidents of a Southwest 737 rolling off the end of a runway or taxiway: a) Burbank, b) Chicago Midway, and now c) Spokane. As a plane spotter I have seen 100's of Southwest planes taxi, takeoff and land. One thing I have noticed over the years and something that sometimes gives me a laugh is their high-speed taxiing. I have always thought this was so they keep up with gate times and reduce late departures. But with all of the recent problems I have to wonder if they are in just too much of a hurry. Don't get me wrong, Southwest has the best (or one of the best) safety records in respect to length of service and fatalities on-board.

Aero-News.net is also reporting that a law firm Kreindler & Kreindler LLP is taking action against Southwest. They are quoted as saying “Southwest flight crews have a history of undertaking similarly risky aircraft operations,”

So, I am not an ATP pilot and don't claim to know the policies and procedures of various airlines, but this does seem to be more then coinsidence. What are your thoughts?
