News: Oshkosh Tower Update Tower Cab Installed (OSH)

The tower cab section for Oshkosh (OSH) Wittman Regional's new air traffic control tower (ATCT) was installed early Wednesday morning. This section addition shows further progress for the new, near 140-ft tower facility that will replace the present tower.
According to the FAA, the new, state-of-the-art structure is scheduled to become fully operational in time for AirVenture 2009. The present tower was built in the early 1960s and moved to its current site in 1968.
