News: Goodrich's EFB Installation Certified on Bombardier's Global Series

Goodrich received a Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) from Transport Canada for its Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) installation on Bombardier's Global Express, Global XRS and Global 5000 aircraft.
The certification was made by Business Jet Aircraft Completions (BJAC), based in Dorval, Quebec. Goodrich selected BJAC to be its EFB worldwide authorized sales and service center for business jets last year.
Goodrich's EFB has 8.4″ and 10.4″ displays and a computer that includes an integrated video surveillance system capability and optional wireless connectivity. The computer system was designed to mount on any flight deck and does not require air cooling. The BJAC "One-Touch" menu page allows seamless transitions between software applications, and also manages EFB software updates.
The system provides approach charts from Jeppesen and includes a bundled electronic document viewer, enroute moving map, take-off performance calculator, airport moving map, real-time weather and video surveillance.
