News: FlightSafety Announces FlightCAST, Podcasts of Customized Training Information

LA GUARDIA AIRPORT, NEW YORK (September 24, 2007) - FlightSafety International announces the development of FlightCAST™, a new training information delivery system using podcast technology.
FlightCAST will provide aviation professionals with access to a comprehensive library of FlightSafety's training materials and information. Subscribers to FlightCAST will automatically receive accurate, up-to-date information customized to their specific needs.
“FlightSafety customers will have direct access to a wealth of information through FlightCAST. They will be able to receive training videos on a wide variety of topics, enrichment courses, flight skills backgrounders and type specific aircraft training data. Customers can also receive information on new FlightSafety course offerings, training updates and other aviation news and information,” said Mike Lee, Vice President Technology & Compliance, FlightSafety International.
FlightCAST programming can be delivered to a wide variety of electronic devices via an RSS feed. They include a BlackBerry; iPod; PDA; iPhone or other smartphone; navigation system or computer. FlightSafety Customers can filter the information they receive according to their specific needs or areas of interest and set limits on the amount of data delivered.
NBAA attendees are invited to the FlightSafety exhibit (#5051) for a detailed briefing on FlightCAST and to participate in a short pre-launch survey. “Feedback from our customers is key to the success of FlightCAST. We look forward to hearing from them during NBAA and will incorporate many of their changes and suggestions into the final program.” added Mike Lee.
