News: Alaska Airlines Will Launch In-Flight Internet in 2008
Posted by Matthew Justice on Sep 18, 2007Another airlines appears to be getting on the Internet bandwagon. Alaska Airlines announced they will launch in-flight wireless internet access beginning in the spring of 2008.
They will test a system from Row 44, a provider of broadband communication for airlines, on select Boeing 737 aircraft in spring 2008. Based on that trial's outcome, it plans to equip its 114-aircraft fleet.
