AOPA eDirectory 1.1 (Freeware*)

This application provides information that is contained in the AOPA's Airport Directory.

Features Include: Enhanced A/FD that contains; airport identifier, communication frequencies, runway information, NAVAIDS, elevation, FBO (names and services offered), attractions, restaurants, hotels, contact information (including phone numbers, e-mail, etc) and more. Freeware* but requires ($39) AOPA membership for download.

Review

Pros: Large text & buttons, FBO information, PC desktop interface and regular updates.
Cons: Missing runway layouts, install process is a little strange, no memory card support, no automatic updates, no favorites or pop-up keypad, will not run on OS 5.
Notes: Very useful addition to your official A/FD, also see the Windows PC Interface.

"Worked on my old Palm but now that I have a Tungsten T3 (Palm OS 5.2) it will not work, :-("

"Has more info than you could ever need about any public airport in the US. Also very easy to use. My one major gripe is that there is no search function, you absolutely know the 4 letter ICAO identifier. But it's free, so I can't really complain."
